We cover a wealth of different poses for you to explore, benefits and contraindications and safety guidelines, tailored adaptations for different pregnant bodies, specific support for common pregnancy ailments including SPD/PGP so your classes are suitable for everyone.

We practice and learn different breathing techniques and their uses for pregnancy, birth and beyond, understanding the importance of our birth breathing and its role in labour.
Meditation Mindfulness -
You will learn different techniques and how to weave them through your class, the power of listening to your heart and shutting off the noise at this time of your lives, learning to live mindfully off of the mat and how that can influence everything and everyone around you.
Yoga Nidra Guided Relaxation -
The importance of relaxation and how to teach this safely, a variety of scripts to use in your classes to encourage preparation for a positive birth, understanding the subconscious and the power of language.
Physiology & Anatomy Fascia & Movement
How this changes in pregnancy, the systems of the body and how they are affected by hormones and the role of the pelvic floor.
The Process of Birth Physiological & Medical -
Learn about the stages of labour, roles of hormones, positive feedback loop, pain relief options, water birth, medical interventions, cesareans and instrumental births, role of birth partners, birth environments and evidence of outcomes, 3rd stage options, vitamin k, the importance of skin to skin. With a thorough knowledge of all the options available and understanding of the birth process you can support your students in a non-judgemental way so they are empowered to make the best choices for themselves.
Motherhood & Society In Today’s Busy World -
Looking at ourselves, our biases and imprints and learn how to hold space for others. Birthrights are human rights, their importance and why they need to be upheld and protected. We look at how society treats new mothers and the vital role we play in support vulnerable women at this time of their lives. Understanding the basic neurology behind postnatal depression, trauma and PTSD.
History & Philosophy of Yoga & how it helps Modern Mental Health -
We introduce you to the colossal topic of the history of yoga and philosophy through the lens of pregnancy and motherhood and its relevance to our students and ourselves. You will gain a basic understanding of the origins of yoga and how it has evolved, 7 major branches of yoga, the eight limbs of yoga, concepts such as nadis, 7 chakra system, koshas, the subtle body, the six acts of hatha yoga, dharma, karma and reincarnation and much more in our comprehensive but accessible manual. You will also learn mudras (hand gestures|), mantras and some chanting to include in your classes.




Course Structure
1. Introduction to Prenatal Yoga
● Course foundation: Understand the profound impact yoga can have on pregnancy, labour, and birth.
● Learn the principles behind our approach: "Breathe, Move, and Relax To Birth"
● Explore the mind-body connection and why yoga is essential for emotional and physical well-being during pregnancy.
2. Pregnancy Yoga Teaching Techniques
● Develop a teaching toolkit: Master the art of adapting poses for comfort and safety.
● Learn techniques to manage pregnancy-related conditions like Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP), SPD and gestational diabetes.
● Teach using gentle movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to alleviate discomfort and prepare women for the challenges of labor.

● Guide women in preparing their bodies and minds for childbirth with confidence however it unfolds using birth preparation yoga techniques.
