Nicola Rous-Morgan - Port Talbot

What were you doing before before you training with LushTums?

Before my LushTums training is just qualified as a midwife!

Did anything almost stop you?

I would say the thing that nearly stopped me was me!!! Going up to Brighton on my own and leaving my daughters for a week was quite a big thing. Along with the self doubt, can I do, will I be good at it and can this really work as a business for me.

How did you find the training?

I found the training absolutely amazing and had need not of worried as soon as I met Clare her warmth settled any nerves I had. I was very lucky as the other two ladies booked on unfortunately for them couldn’t make it which meant I had Clare 1:1 for the full 5 days!! I learnt so much and left feeling excited and proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and going for it! There has also been the most incredible after support following my training which has been invaluable.

How has your life changed since you trained with LushTums?

My life has completely changed since training with LushTums. I have now been teaching for over 5 years and my classes are well established in the local area. My confidence has grown and I now run weekly pregnancy, postnatal yoga classes a long with regular birth workshops.

Since my training I know more now about all things birth and baby than I did when I qualified as a midwife! It’s really cemented what I already knew and driven my enthusiasm to keep learning more!!!

I feel very lucky that this is my job and that I get to work with so many wonderful women, and provide a safe space where they feel seen, heard and acknowledged at a time when they can feel vulnerable and anxious.

It has also allowed me to find that family work life balance and work to suit myself and be there more for the kids! If anyone is considering training with LushTums but feel like I did; hesitant; I’d say just go for it as you’ll not regret it at all!
