We are so excited to bring you this very special learning experience ideal for yoga and movement teachers.
On Saturday, Joanne Avison will take us through the fascia-nating world of fascia! There will be an overview of Classical to contemporary anatomy and discover the story of embryology which will change how you see bodies forever. Learning from Jo will transform your understanding not only of movement but our whole experience of being human - get ready to have your minds and hearts opened.
On Sunday Helen Eadie will be giving us a day of ‘body connections and movement patterns' based on different modalities, including Scaravelli, craniosacral, somatics and Bartenieff fundamentals. Essentially, the workshop will involve the following elements:
Embodiment exploration: This will involve warm-up movements and self-study explorations to familiarise everyone with key concepts and bodily connections, including:
* Core-distal connectivity
* Head-tail connectivity
* Upper-lower connectivity
* Body half connectivity
* Cross lateral connectivity
* Working with the visual system and curiosity to re-connect and cultivate natural movement patterns
* Spirality - in movement and form
The latter half of the workshop will pull all of these aspects together and incorporate them into a movement sequence that can be built up from basic patterns into more complex ones, that everyone can continue to explore and create in their home practice.
